The Barcode of Life:: InfoNet is the central node of a publishing tool that provides information to a suite of campaign sites within the Barcode of Life Initiative (such as FishBOL, Canadian Centre for DNA Barcoding, BOLNET, and All Fungi).
Behind the secure login is a Glossopteris product, BIOX, that allow users to add, edit or delete any of the content streams that exist. Image and file uploads are also possible with the system, which in turn saves all the information to the underlying database.
This information is then parsed into XML files which are available to any of the campaign sites that request them, allowing instaneous updating of any number of sites across the initiative, which is a significant time saving tool.
